About Marion County Septic
Marion County Septic is operated by Compass Camper LLC, an Oregon-registered marketing company. We are not a septic contractor and do not perform septic work. We are an information resource and a free referral service for property owners in Marion County, Florida.
What we do
We operate this website to connect Marion County property owners with licensed, insured septic contractors. When you submit a request, your information is forwarded to a licensed local contractor who can schedule your free quote. The service is free for property owners, and you are never obligated to hire the contractor who quotes it.
We focus on planned, permitted work: new septic system installation, full drainfield replacement, aerobic and advanced treatment systems, septic for new construction, and real-estate septic inspections.
Who writes this site
Our guides and local pages are written and maintained by the Marion County Septic Editorial Team and compiled from cited public sources, including the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the Florida Administrative Code, the water management districts, and UF/IFAS. We link to those sources so you can verify what you read. We do not publish reviews, testimonials, or ratings, because we have none to claim and will not invent them.
What we ask of the contractors we send your request to
The independent contractors we connect property owners with are expected to:
- Hold current Florida contractor licensing where required.
- Carry current general liability insurance.
- Offer written workmanship warranties.
- Provide transparent, itemized written estimates before performing any work.
Always confirm a contractor's current license and insurance before work begins. Contractor license numbers are available upon request.
